IMATS Los Angeles 2018
Pasadena, CA – IMATS stands for the International Makeup Artist Trade Show. This trade show is a makeup enthusiastic wonderland; my inner unicorn comes out. This year I decided to only attend IMATS on Pro days. My first day was amazing, I have to tell you all about it. I took my first Kat Von D Beauty class with Tara Buenrostro. So the class I took was called: Kat Von D No Rules Bridal. Once I walked into the room I could tell they set the room up with the students in mind. The table set allowed each student regardless of where they sat to see the stage for the demo. This class had two parts. First, there was a demo by Tara. I have to say see made it look so easy, her models makeup was flawless. Tara took her time and gave us so many tips to improve as makeup artist.
The second part of the class allowed us to practice the bridal look. The tables were laced with all the supplies we needed to crate or bridals looks on each other. Tara and other staff members walked around to help us and make sure we had everything we needed. My table setting had a writing pad and pen so I could take good notes. There was a Kat Von D makeup face chart (so cute), a beautiful black Kat Von D hand held mirror, and a water bottle. This was my first Kat Von D makeup class, I look forward to the next one. My second day was a day of shopping. I love trying and testing new beauty products. I walked around the trade show until my feet gave out. I have added so many amazing products to my makeup kit. I love to end my IMATS experience at P.F. Chang’s across the street.
