Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I love to document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

The Mexico Cafe

The Mexico Cafe

I have fond memories of eating Spanish food as a child. My mom would take us to a Mom Pop Spanish Restaurant ran inside of a house that was converted into a restaurant. There was a flavor in the cooking you can’t get everywhere. The Mexico Café brought me back to my childhood with their authentic cooking. The moment I walked in the door I felt a warm welcome. There is a fireplace and sitting area directly behind the check in area. It’s the type of space you want to curl up in with a throw blanket, book and cup of hot chocolate. The staff was warm and welcoming. But, most of all attentive. Once we were seated, we received chips and salsa, they have a great salsa selection. I enjoyed the mild and medium salsa with my chips. I ordered one of their specialty drinks, delicious. They offer fun drinks for Halloween with eyeballs instead of olives.

The menu is filled with so many options, it took me a minute to order, after much internal debate, I decided to have the Enchiladas de Camaron. This dish is so good, it comes with two grilled shrimp enchiladas seasoned to perfection. I was born a foodie, you have to visit and tell me all about it. I highly recommend this restaurant, it’s perfect for small and large groups. The Mexico Café also has great photo ops, so bring your camera and take pictures, you might run into a dinosaur.
