I love Black history month. Every year I try to celebrate in new and different ways, this year I want to celebrate Black beauty brands. Beauty is a extremely vital part of my life as an African American woman. I have found memories of my great grandmother applying oil to my hair and brushing it. Just the thought brings so much comfort and warm feelings. After a bath she would apply coco butter and oils to my skin. For me beauty is not just beauty, it is nurturing selfcare, wellness at it’s core. Beauty is Black love passed down from our ancestors. Sadly, I lost my great grandmother. Yet, I can still feel her love while applying oil to my scalp and hydrating my skin.

I’m a true foodie and February is a great month to catch up with friends. I love to celebrate Galantine’s with other moms too. Be Good Restaurant has a open welcoming vibe, perfect for brunch.The staff is amazing and well versed with the menu. My waitress recommended the Waterpeno for the watermelon lover within me. We had a blast with San Diego Mommy Blogger Tribe at Belmont Park. This place is so much fun you will want to return again and again. Belmont Park is in San Diego along the iconic beachfront boardwalk. The park is currently celebrating their Spring Festival “Blemont in Bloom” until the end of May. The park has remained popular since 1925.

The #fambam had a blast at Speed Zone Haunted Mini Golf Los Angeles. There are so many fun activities for parents and kids. The haunted mini golf is well designed for a spooky good time. While approaching the front door from the parking lot, we could see the foggy haunted mini golf area filled with goons and goblins off all kinds. It was the type of golf course you go in and you may not come out, boo. No matter where my family goes, they want food and there is plenty of delicious food at Speed Zone with multiple areas to dine. We spent a lot of time in the arcade, I grew up playing Pac-man. Speed Zone has all the classic arcade games and plenty of newer ones.
