We decided to kick of the Summer with a staycation at Howard Johnson Anaheim. We had a blast, Disneyland is only an eight-minute walk from the hotel. Yes, that means I didn’t have to pay to park at Disneyland. If you plan on visiting Disneyland this is a prime location for you and your family to stay. I have a discount code below to save money on your stay.

Check-in was a breeze, there is 10-minute parking directly in front of the lobby. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The front desk offers complimentary face painting every Saturday from 8:30 am – 10:30 am. I also called ahead of checking in to request a crib and roll out bed for our room. Our room was located in Building 2, which is one of the newer buildings. The room was spacious with a splash of Disney décor. The Garden Pool is located directly in front of Building 2. The Garden pool is open from 10 am to 10 pm and reservations are required. Check your hotel reservation for details on how to book reservations for the Garden Pool. The Castaway Cove was a huge hit for our family. It’s like the perfect waterpark for the family. There is a one-inch pool for the little ones, water slides, a jacuzzi and so much more. The Castaway Cove is open from 10 am to 10 pm and reservations are required. I highly recommend the Castaway Cove.
