The Los Angeles Times Food Bowl
Angelenos, mark your calendars The Los Angeles Times Food Bowl returns in May, featuring 31 days of celebrating the city’s diverse food scene. The event will combine the best of local restaurants and world-renowned culinary talent, featuring 31 days of dining pop-ups, collaborations, panel discussions, and other food-inspired events across Los Angeles. I’m so excited this year will also include dinners at select restaurants from The Times 101 Best Restaurants list and food-themed neighborhood walking tours spotlighting the city’s cultural diversity.
Last year was my first time attending this amazing event, I had so much fun at the night markets. The Los Angeles Times Food Bowl is perfect for the whole family. I found myself meeting friends at the night markets, while dining with my family during the afternoon on weekends. This year I will attend an event at one of the select The Best Times Restaurants. In addition, I will participate in one of the walking tours.
Keep an eye out for the food section of The Los Angeles Times on Sundays for even more details. Los Angeles has a diverse food scene, I love that we have so many options for amazing food. Festivities kick off April 30 with the announcement of the annual Gold Award and Restaurant of the Year winner. The festival will also highlight issues of food access, sustainability and waste reduction. The full event lineup will be announced in April at lafoodbowl.com
